The scythe is a tool that allows the user to cut grass and weeds on the Farm to receive Straw, cut tall crops such as Wheat and Oat, and remove dead Crops.

How to obtain

The Player starts the game with a Simple Scythe, but scythes of higher quality and thus higher durability may be purchased. The Stone and Iron Scythes are the most commonly seen, but a Steel Scythe, hardly needing repair, is quite rare.

Farm Helper

If you have a Farm Helper working on your Farm, place a Farm Helper Chest outside and place a Scythe in it for them to harvest tall crops. The tool will be in their inventory while they are using it and it will lose durability, so make sure to keep them repaired.

If you are at a high enough friendship level with the Blacksmith, they may gift you tools of all but the highest quality.
