Blacksmithing

Players can make use of various tools on the island of Honeywood. To use a tool, it must be in the inventory and active when selecting an appropriate interactable. Tools come in tiers of quality; high-quality tools are more expensive and difficult to obtain.

Some tools degrade over time and require repair or replacement: the hoe, scythe, axe, pickaxe, and fishing rod. Their durability is represented as a status bar under the tool image in the inventory; upon reaching empty these tools will break and disappear. Any degraded tool can be repaired by the blacksmith for a small fee. It will be returned by mail the following day. High-quality tools degrade more slowly.

Watering cans and lanterns do not degrade, but instead have similar status bars that represent their supply of water or lantern oil. High-quality versions of these tools have more capacity and thus can be used longer before refills.

Watering Can

The Watering Can is a tool that allows the user to water crops, trees, and bushes on the farm. It can be used on a square of dry hoed ground, with or without a plant or seed.

Hoe

The hoe is a tool that allows the user to dig plots for Farming on their Farm, often yielding Dirt and Worms in the process. They can also be used to remove bushes on the farm.

Scythe

The scythe is a tool that allows the user to cut grass and weeds on the Farm to receive Straw, cut tall crops such as Wheat and Oat, and remove dead Crops.

Lanterns

The lantern is used to counter the darkness debuff, allowing the player to walk at normal speed in dark areas. Lanterns don't have durability but instead use Lantern Oil. The higher quality lantern you have, the slower the oil runs out.

Fishing Rod

A Fishing Rod is used to catch fish. The simple and iron versions can be purchased from the fisher. The Rainbow Fishing Rod is available for purchase during the fishing contest for 500 fish tokens.

Pickaxe

The pickaxe is a tool that allows the user to break down stones on the Farm or in The Mines.

Farm Tools

Sheep Shears are used to collect Sheep Fur from sheep. Grown sheep can be sheared every other day.

The Milking Pail is used to collect milk from cows and goats. Grown livestock can be milked daily.

They do not lose durability.
