The Player must pay Taxes every week to continue to live on their Farm. Failure to pay them before midnight on any given Sunday is an immediate game over. The first payment of Taxes is 50 gold and increases by 10 every week. If the Mayor/quest giver dies then the quest is removed and no Taxes are charged for the week. The job of Mayor falls to their spouse who will charge Taxes the following week. If the Mayor dies without a spouse but has Children, the Player will not be charged Taxes until they become an adult. Page writer does not know what happens if the Mayor dies with no spouse or children. Taxes can be paid through the mail by clicking the small envelope button on the quest page if the Player is quarantining themselves due to Diseases.
