A Fishing Rod is used to catch fish. The simple and iron versions can be purchased from the fisher. The Rainbow Fishing Rod is available for purchase during the fishing contest for 500 fish tokens.
To start fishing when playing with a keyboard, stand close to a body of water with a fishing rod selected and press space. When a fish bites, the player will get an exclamation mark above their head, and the player must press space again. A timed mini-game then begins where the Player must use the direction keys to follow the path the Fish takes. The mini-game can also be altered or turned off in the Options tab.
